Your Wish is Our Customization

The story behind PartyWish started in 2012 (stay with me because it's been a journey)-
my second year teaching preschool. I was in love with teaching & my students, but soon felt the teachings pains of being overworked and underpaid, IYKYK. In 2012, I filed my business name at the registrar, but still fell short of making the business a reality. I was a lot younger & didn't have faith in myself at that time to go all in to pursue becoming a business owner. Fast forward seven years later to May of 2019- I finally quit & took that leap of faith- officially starting PartyWish in June 2019.
I began learning all I could about my Cricut machine & started a home-based business. I didn't know where this was going to take me, but what I did know was I had faith that God wasn't going to let me fail. 7 months into it, I outgrew my home base & expanded to a small office storefront that was located just 4 minutes from my home in February 2020. In April of 2022, I took on a second shop right next door to my first suite and there I started hosting small group workshops and courses. Finally in September of 2022, I took on a third shop downstairs that had a lot more room to host bigger classes, events, and had a separate office and storage garage. I knew I wanted to have a bigger space for my classes and customizing caskets on-site and so this third shop was the perfect space for PartyWish. My husband and I worked so hard to renovate the third shop from top to bottom just us with our kids. Once settled in, we came up with the crazy idea to then start a new photo booth rental business called "PhotoWish" in Feb 2023. It gave my husband and I an opportunity to finally work full-time together as he left his 18 year aerospace industry career to help run PartyWish, PhotoWish, and our other businesses that fall under the PW umbrella (PW Cricut Courses, PartyWish Networking Events, and PhotoWish Designs & printing).
That leap of faith has led me to learn so much about myself, being my own boss, and a pioneer in this very new industry. I always wished there was someone who could teach me all that I have learned on my own. I had to hustle, learn, fail forward & make many mistakes to finally master this Cricut & it's design space program. That is the reason I wanted to combine my two passions for teaching & crafting so I can share it with others.
UPDATE: It is now March of 2026 and so much has happened since our last update. PW has been expanding and in the midst of all that, our casket wrap business has really taken off and to still keep things under the umbrella of PW, We came up with PartingWishes- where we specialize in custom casketwraps and memorial keepsakes. This has been the most sought after custom item/service that we offer as a collective; my husband designs the image casket wraps (casketwraps with the imagery and pictures) and I design the patterned vinyl work (tribals, bandana/paisley, etc)- together we customize a very unique style of casketwrap where we combined the two, no one was offering that style of casketwrap before and we teach these same skills and casketwrap styles to our students all over. Now that it is 2026, I am almost at my 7th year of being in business (JUN 2026 is my official 7th year in business) and the blessings from 2025 have just been pouring into our 2026 and we are so thankful for the families that we truly get to serve through our creativity and artwork.
My husband and I have still been teaching an array of courses, we have been traveling up North and out of state to offer our services, and we have just become grandparents. Life is good- all glory to God above! We still on this Marathon, let's get it!
Just remember one thing-
"You've got to have faith in what you're doing and never take no for an answer."
